Virginia Tech – ICS 100. Introduction to the Incident Command System for Higher Education.
ICS 100 for Higher Education introduces ICS and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of ICS. It also explains the relationship between ICS and NIMS. The target audience includes those persons involved with emergency planning, response, and/or recovery efforts for Virginia Tech.
The course is open to all Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff.

The Public Safety Building (previously Southgate Center) houses both Emergency Management and the Virginia Tech Police Department. It is located at 330 Sterrett Drive, behind Lane Stadium near Fleet Services. Walk through the main entrance, continue through the double doors straight ahead, and down the hallway. The office will be on your left.
