Be Hokie Ready
Individual emergency preparedness is the first and most important step in creating a resilient university environment.
That is why Emergency Management calls on all members of the Virginia Tech community to Be Hokie Ready — or to actively engage in basic emergency preparedness efforts as an extension of the university motto Ut Prosim (That I May Serve).
Small preparations, such as making an emergency kit, creating an emergency plan, and practicing emergency response procedures, help to not only keep individual Hokies safe and secure, but also contribute to the well-being of everyone around them.
All together, these preparedness efforts allow Virginia Tech to continue its mission of learning, discovery, and engagement for generations to come.
